Skien Airport has taken deliery of new airport fire truck from Egenes Fire Engineering in Flekkefjord. The fire truck is built by Rosenbauer of Austria and Egenes Fire Engineering on a Scania chassis. In relation to the existing fire truck, the airport's fire and rescue increase quench capacity by 100%. The new truck has 4 wheel drive, and therefore will be well suited for use in emergency roads outside the airport area. Leader of the airport's fire and rescue services, Knut Semb, is very pleased with the new car. He says that the personnel will complete extensive training before the new car is in operational service within 01 October 2010
