BIAS AS installation has started the last phase of the upgrade of the runway edge lights. The upgrade has so far included the digging of cable trenches on both sides of the runway in full length, the establishment of cablegates, manholes and transformers. The upgrade will not involve any change in brightness or intensity, but will provide better reliability.
